Cleaning
the
scanner
In
order
to
maintain
the
best
image
quality
and
prevent
dust
accumulation,
please
clean
the
outer
casing
and
image
sensor
inside
the
scanner
regu
la
rly
(about
every
50-100
scans,
or
whenever
unwanted
vertical/horizontal
lines
appear
on
the
scanned
image).
When
clean
i
ng,
use
only
the
recommended
and
supplied
tools.
WARNING
:
Do
no
t
use
any
t
ools
other
than
the
supplied
ones
t
o
clean
the
image
sensor
inside
the
scanner
.

herwise
t
he
image
sensor
will
be
permanently
damaged.
Cleaning the outer casing
Please
fol
l
ow
the
ins
t
ructions
below
to
cle
an
the
outer
casing
of
the
scanner
when
necessary.
1.
Use
a
suitab
le
dust
blower
to
b
l
ow
off
the
dust
on
the
scanner.
2.
Use
a
slightly
dampened
cloth
to
wipe
off
any
smear
on
the
surface
of
the
scanner.
3.
W

pe
the
scanner
with
a
dry
and
clean
lint-free
cloth.
WARNING
:
Do
no
t
use
any
solven
t

or
corrosive
liquid
(
f
or
example
,
alcohol,
kerosene
...,
etc.)
t
o
clean
any
part
of
t
he
scanner
.

herwise
the
plastic
material
will
be
permanently
damaged
.

2.
With
the
scanner
power
off
and

sconnected
from
the
power
supply,
inser

the
sensor
clean

ng
swab
into
one
end
of
the
outpu
t
slo
t
.
NOTE
:
Make
sure
that
t
here
is
no
visible
dus
t
on
t
he
swab
be
f
ore
inserting
it
into
the
output
slot.
