Escolher a braçadeira certa
Para conseguir uma medição exacta, é extremamente
importante escolher a braçadeira do tamanho correcto,
que melhor se adapte ao seu braço. Escolha o tamanho
da braçadeira consoante a medida à volta do seu braço e
certique-se de que a parte inferior da braçadeira ca
2-3 cm acima do cotovelo. (Fig. 3)
Braçadeira pequena/média (BP 4000, BP 4020, BP 5000) =
medida à volta do braço: 23-33 cm
Braçadeira grande/extra grande (BP 4010, BP 4020, BP 5010) =
medida à volta do braço: 33-43 cm
Aplicar a braçadeira
1. Comprima a artéria braquial com dois dedos acima do cotovelo,
do lado de dentro do seu braço esquerdo. (Fig. 4)
2. Determine onde a sua pulsação é mais forte. Passe a extremidade
da braçadeira mais afastada do tubo por dentro do aro metálico.
O tecido suave deve car pelo lado de dentro da braçadeira.
O que deve saber antes de medir a sua tensão arterial
• Nunca torça a braçadeira.
• Não insue a braçadeira do aparelho sem esta estar colocada à volta do braço.
• Não tente desmontar nem substituir quaisquer componentes do aparelho, incluindo a
braçadeira.
• Não deixe cair o aparelho nem o sujeite a impactos fortes.
• Não deverá usar o aparelho se tiver qualquer tipo de ferimento no braço.
