Cómo medir la presión
Para medir la presión arterial en la muñeca, es
esencial colocar la muñeca correctamente, cerca
del corazón, para obtener resultados precisos.
1. Colóquese el monitor en la parte superior del lado
delgado del antebrazo izquierdo (consulte la
ilustración). Asegúrese de que el brazal (G) se
encuentre ajustado. Oprima el botón I/0 (C).
2. Tome la posición de medición según se muestra.
Mantenga los brazos cerca de su cuerpo.
Asegúrese de que el monitor se encuentra
aproximadamente al nivel del corazón.
3a. Cuando el monitor se encuentre aproximada-
mente a la altura de medición, se escuchará una
señal audible y el visor presentará un símbolo
de corazón. Éstos indican que su brazo se
encuentra en la posición correcta para tomar la
medida de presión sanguínea. El sistema
comenzará a medir la presión en forma
automática.
3b. Si Ud. no adopta la posición de medición
correcta inmediatamente, el monitor le guiará
mediante una flecha en el visor. Mantenga los
brazos cerca de su cuerpo, descansando
cómodamente. Mueva el antebrazo hacia arriba
o hacia abajo (consulte la ilustración) en la
dirección de la flecha hasta que se escuche una
señal audible y aparezca el símbolo de corazón.
Cuando el brazo se encuentre en una posición
adecuada, el sistema comenzará a tomar la
presión sanguínea automáticamente.
