Antes de proceder aos ajustes, certique-se de que todas as
ligações na instalação estão correctas e são seguras.
Geralmente, o maior afastamento das colunas em relação
às paredes reduz o volume dos sons graves. A existência de
espaço atrás das colunas também ajuda a criar uma sensação
de profundidade do som. Por seu lado, a maior aproximação
das colunas em relação às paredes aumenta o volume dos sons
graves. Se pretender reduzir o volume dos sons graves sem ter
de afastar as colunas da parede, aplique os cilindros de espuma
ou, para uma redução mais atenuada dos graves, os anéis de
espuma nos tubos das portas (ver acima).
Se os sons graves parecerem estar desajustados em relação à
frequência, é muito provável que tal se deva às características
acústicas da divisão em que se encontra. Uma simples alteração
na posição das colunas ou no local de audição pode ter um
efeito signicativo no desempenho sonoro, especialmente no que
diz respeito a baixas frequências. Tente alterar o local de audição
ou, se possível, colocar as colunas ao longo de uma parede
diferente.
Se não existirem alternativas, pode ajustar o desempenho de
baixa frequência das colunas utilizando os cilindros de espuma
fornecidos. Os cilindros são compostos por duas partes, o que
permite um determinado nível de ajuste: pode utilizar-se a parte
exterior de maior diâmetro isoladamente ou combinar ambas as
partes. Se utilizar apenas a parte exterior de maior diâmetro do
cilindro de espuma, os sons graves serão menos atenuados do
que se utilizar o conjunto completo de cilindros.
