COOKING ON AN INDUCTION PLATE
Induction plates heat the (metal) pan through eddy
currents generated by inductance. This method
enables energy savings of up to 50% compared to
conventional cooking methods, making induction a
very energy-efficient alternative. Furthermore, the
precise regulation of the heat supply and the fact that
the cooking surface does not need to be pre-heated
significantly shorten the cooking times with this
technique.
Only the cookware and not the hob itself is heated
during the cooking process. The hob is heated only
by the heat that radiates from the cookware during
cooking. However, no temperatures will be reached
that could cause food spills to burn onto the surface.
This makes it easier to clean the glass ceramic
surface.
EIGHTFOLD PROTECTION
This induction cooking plate is protected in eight ways:
1. Child lock
2. No pan present
3. Wrong pan used
4. Voltage too high
5. Current too high
6. Temperature too high
7. No water in the pan
8. No activity for more than 2 hours
SUITABLE COOKWARE
Iron or cast-iron cookware (such as enameled pans)
with a diameter of 12-26 cm and magnetic stainless
steel, preferably with a thin base to prevent energy
loss and optimise reaction times to temperature
changes. Suitable cookware is marked with the
induction symbol in the store.
NOTE!
Use a magnet to check whether your cookware is
suitable for induction. If the magnet sticks to the
bottom, the pan is suitable.
UNSUITABLE COOKWARE
Cookware made of aluminium, copper, glass or
ceramics and pans with a diameter smaller than
12 cm are not suitable. Pans with an uneven base
should not be used either, due to the loss of energy
