• Never take the kettle off the base when

it is switched on.

• Only switch the appliance on once the

kettle is ﬁlled with sufﬁcient tap water.

• Do not move the kettle when it is in use.

• Make sure the water level is always

between the minimum and maximum

markings on the water level indicator

before switching on the appliance. If

you exceed the maximum water level,

the kettle will boil over and hot water

could be forcefully sprayed over the

edge.

FIRST USE

• Clean the appliance and accessories.

See the section titled “Cleaning”.

• Remove the kettle from the base.

• Fill the kettle with tap water to the

maximum marking on the water level

indicator.

• Boil the water. See the section titled

“Boiling water”.

• Do not use the water you just boiled for

consumption or anything else. Allow it

to cool and then pour it down the drain.

BOILING WATER

• Always remove the appliance from the

base before ﬁlling it with tap water.

• Open the lid and check whether the

removable ﬁlter is properly placed.

• Fill the kettle with water until the water

level is somewhere between the

minimum and maximum markings on

the water level indicator.

• Close the lid and place the kettle on the

base.

• Switch the kettle on by turning the on/

off switch to “I”. The on/off indicator

light will illuminate. The appliance will

start to boil the water.

• Once the water has boiled, the kettle

will automatically switch off and the on/

off indicator light will go out.

• Turn the on/off switch to position “O” to

interrupt the boiling process.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and wait for it to

cool down.

• Never immerse the appliance in water

or any other liquid.

• Do not use any acerbic or abrasive

cleaning products to clean the

appliance.

• Do not use sharp objects to clean the

appliance.

• Check the appliance for possible

damage on a regular basis.

• Clean the exterior of the kettle with a

soft, moist cloth. Then dry it thoroughly

with a dry cloth.

• Clean the removable ﬁlter with soapy

water and then rinse it under running

water. Then dry it thoroughly with a dry

cloth.

• Clean the base using a clean, dry cloth.

DESCALING

When to descale?

• The kettle needs to be descaled after

every 25 uses.

• Damage caused to the appliance

through irregular descaling is not

covered by the warranty.

Descaler

• Only use a suitable descaler to descale

the kettle. This will be indicated on

the packaging of the descaler. Suitable

descalers are available in supermarkets

and stores selling household items.

• The supplier is not responsible for

damage caused by descalers.

• Do not use vinegar, vinegar

concentrate or citric acid to descale

the kettle.

Descaling procedure

• Unplug the appliance and wait for it to

cool down.

• Fill the kettle with a suitable descaler

and let the agent settle in.

• Thoroughly rinse the kettle with clean

water.

• Follow the instructions on the descaler

packaging.

WASTE DISPOSAL

Electrical appliances, accessories and

their packaging must be reused as much

as possible in an environmentally sound

manner. Do not dispose of these items

together with your normal rubbish. Only for

EG WEEE Guideline on the disposal of

old electric and electronic appliances,

the appliances that are no longer used

must be collected and recycled in an

environmentally sound manner.

The warranty is valid for a period of 2

years from the date of purchase as stated

on your purchase receipt, which also

your proof of warranty. Please turn to

your retailer to claim your warranty. The

warranty shall not apply if the product is

subjected to incorrect use,, improperly

disassembled, damaged by falls, impacts

or similar, or if damage is caused due to

failure to descale in good time products

that are manufactured for use with water.

Should a certain product be provided with

speciﬁc warranty terms and conditions,

these shall receive priority over general

terms and conditions. The warranty shall
