Conforme a Diretiva Europeia 2012/19/UE relativa aos resíduos de equipamentos

elétricos e eletrónicos e a sua implementação na legislação nacional, é necessário

recolher separadamente os recetores laser que já não são usados e, de acordo com a

Diretiva Europeia 2006/66/CE, as baterias/pilhas defeituosas e encaminhá-los para

uma reciclagem ecológica.

No caso de uma eliminação incorreta, os aparelhos elétricos e eletrónicos antigos podem

ter efeitos nocivos no ambiente e na saúda humada devido à possível presença de

substâncias perigosas.
