De koelruimte
De koelruimte is een ideale plaats voor
het bewaren van vlees, worst, vis,
melkproducten, eieren, toebereide
etenswaren en brood/banket.
In acht nemen bij het bewaren
■Bewaar verse, onbeschadigde
levensmiddelen. Zo blijft de kwaliteit
en de versheid langer bewaard.
■Bij kant-en-klaarproducten en
afgevulde producten de door de
fabrikant vermelde houdbaarheids- of
gebruiksdatum in acht nemen.
■De levensmiddelen goed verpakt of
afgedekt inruimen, om aroma, kleur en
versheid te bewaren. Dit voorkomt
geuroverdracht en verkleuring van de
kunststof onderdelen in de koelruimte.
■Warme gerechten en dranken eerst
laten afkoelen en pas daarna
in het apparaat zetten.
Aanwijzing
Ontluchtingsopeningen niet blokkeren
met levensmiddelen, om te voorkomen
dat de luchtcirculatie wordt gehinderd.
Levensmiddelen die direct voor
de luchtopeningen worden opgeslagen,
kunnen door de uitstromende koude
lucht bevriezen.
Let op de koudezones
in de koelruimte
Door de luchtcirculatie in de koelruimte
ontstaan verschillende koudezones:
■De koudste zone is in het bovenste
bereik van de koelruimte.
Aanwijzing
Bewaar in de koudste zone gevoelige
levensmiddelen (bijv. vis, worst,
vlees).
■De warmste zone bevindt zich
onderaan in de deur en
in de groentelade.
Aanwijzing
Bewaar in de warmste zone bijv.
harde kaas en boter. Kaas kan zo zijn
aroma verder ontwikkelen en de boter
blijft goed smeerbaar.

Bij hoge luchtvochtigheid blijft
bladgroente langer vers. Groente en fruit
bij een iets lagere temperatuur bewaren.
De luchtvochtigheid in de groentelade
is afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid
opgeslagen levensmiddelen.
Aanwijzing
Een te hoge luchtvochtigheid kan tot
de vorming van waterdruppels en
hierdoor tot verrotting leiden.
