Let op de koudezones in de koelruimte
Door de luchtcirculatie in de koelruimte verschillen
de koudezones:
■ De koudste zone is tussen de groentelade en het
glazen legplateau daarboven.
Aanwijzing
Bewaar in de koudste zone boven de groentelade
gevoelige levensmiddelen (bijv. vis, worst, vlees).
■ De warmste zone bevindt zich helemaal bovenaan
in de deur.
Aanwijzing
Bewaar in de warmste zone bijv. harde kaas en
boter. Kaas kan zo zijn aroma verder ontwikkelen en
de boter blijft goed smeerbaar.
Verskoellade
Geschikt om vers te koelen:
In principe alle levensmiddelen die vers zijn en nog
langer vers moeten blijven, bijv. vis, zeevruchten, vlees,
worstwaren, melkproducten en kant-en-klaargerechten.
Niet geschikt voor „verskoelen”:
Koudegevoelige fruit en groente (bijv. zuidvruchten
zoals ananas, bananen, papaja’s, citrusvruchten en
meloenen, evenals tomaten, aubergines, courgettes,
paprika’s, komkommers, aardappels).
De ideale plaats voor het bewaren van deze
levensmiddelen is de koelruimte.
Groentelade met vochtigheidsregelaar
Om optimale omstandigheden te scheppen voor het
bewaren van groente en fruit, kan de luchtvochtigheid
in de groentelade worden aangepast aan
de hoeveelheid levensmiddelen:
■ kleine hoeveelheid fruit en groente – hoge
luchtvochtigheid
■ grote hoeveelheid fruit en groente – lage
luchtvochtigheid
Aanwijzingen
■ Koudegevoelig fruit (bijv. ananas, bananen, papaja
en citrusvruchten) en groente (bijv. aubergines,
komkommers, courgettes, paprika, tomaten en
aardappels) dienen voor een optimaal behoud van
kwaliteit en aroma buiten de koelkast bewaard te
worden op een temperatuur van circa +8 °C
tot +12 °C.
■ Afhankelijk van de soort levensmiddelen en de
hoeveelheid kan zich condenswater vormen in de
groentelade. Condenswater verwijderen met een
droge doek en de luchtvochtigheid in de groentelade
aanpassen met behulp van de vochtigheidsregelaar.
