Cutting blade incorrectly mounted Loosen cutting blade and mount it centred. Ob-
serve guide rings on the cutting blade to ensure
centred alignment.
Poor cutting result and
remaining plant

Grass too high/dense Grass too high: Cut in stages.
Grass too dense: Reduce cutting rate per cut.
Cutting blade blunt Flip/replace cutting blade
Cutting blade obstructed Check bottom side of product and clear out as ne-
cessary (always wear protective gloves).
Debris build-up on cutting head Clean cutting head and remove debris.
Cutting blade nut can-
not be unscrewed
Damaged thread on nut/shaft Lubricate shaft to aid removal.
Locking pin not located correctly Reinsert locking pin and apply light pressure
whilst rotating shaft.
Cutting blade fails to

Cutting blade obstructed Check bottom side of product and clear out as ne-
cessary (always wear protective gloves).
Cutting blade nut loose Tighten cutting blade nut to 20 Nm, ensuring the

  • My Bosch AFS 23-37 will not switch on. I have checked the supply and the fuse, but it just seems like the switch is not operating correctly. When it did work it was difficult to get the switch to operate. Any suggestions Submitted on 9-5-2020 at 17:36
