Setting the time
XXSelect the desired power level:

XO The timer symbol starts to flash.
Starting the timer
XXTap the flashing timer button
XO The set time starts to count down.
XO The timer symbol is shown next to the cooking zone.
XO The operating panel display changes to the standard display
after 2 seconds.
XO 10 seconds before the set time lapses, the system flashes the
remaining time.
XO In the last 5 seconds of the countdown an acoustic signal can
be heard every second.
Showing the remaining time
The cooking zone timer is active and the time counts down:
XXTap the cooking zone
XO The remaining time is shown in the multi-function display.
Changing active timers
XXTap a cooking zone with an active timer
XO The remaining time is displayed.
XXTap the timer button
XO The timer is stopped.
XO The remaining time flashes in the display.
XO The system changes to timer editing mode.
XXChange the set time (see “Setting the time”).
XXConfirm the new set time and start the timer (see “Starting
the timer”).
Multi-timer
XXTap on a different cooking zone
XO The additional cooking zone functions are displayed.
XO If the chosen cooking zone is not yet active (=power level
0
)
a power level can now be set.
XXTap the timer button
XO The time flashes in the 7-segment display above the sliders in
minutes (
0
).
XO Now the time can be set and the timer started
(see “Setting the time” and “Starting the timer” respectively).
Switching the timer off early
XXTap a cooking zone with an active timer
XO The remaining time is displayed.
XXLong press on the timer button
or
XXlong press on the cooking zone with an active timer
XO The timer is switched off.
XO The system switches to the standard display.
XO The cooking zone remains active on the set power level.
Activating the bridging function
XXTap both cooking zones at the same time.
XO The bridging function is now active.
XO The light that looks like a hyphen goes out and the additional
functions are displayed.
XO Zone functions apply to the linked cooking zones
(double display).
XO Both cooking zone indicators show the same power level.
XO Active additional cooking zone functions are adopted.
XO Changes to the power level now apply simultaneously to both
cooking zones.
Setting power levels when the bridging function is active.
XXTap a cooking zone with an active bridging function.
XXSet the power level (see Adjusting the power level)
Deactivating the bridging function
XXLong press on one of the two cooking zones with an active
bridging function
or
XXtap the cooking zones with an active bridging function
simultaneously.
XO The bridging function is deactivated.
XO The hyphen symbol lights up
XO The power levels are set to 0
XO If a timer was active, it is deactivated.
XO If cookware is only detected on one of the two cooking zones,
the bridging function is cancelled after ten seconds and the
corresponding cooking zone is deactivated.
7.5.8 Automatic bridging function
i If the permanent pan size recognition is switched on (see
Customer menu), the automatic bridging function is also
activated.
7.5.9 Cooking zone timer
i To be able to activate the timer function, a cooking zone
power level must first be set.
i The timer function can be used for each cooking zone.
Several timers can be activated at the same time ( multi-
timer).
