How to use
Measuring cup
The measuring cup (CUP) in combination with the water level
indicator in the rice pot helps determine the amount of water
and rice.
For example, if you wish to cook 6 CUPs of rice, add 6 measur-
ing cups of rice to the pot and ll with water to the respective
(CUP) mark, e.g. 6.
Rice Quantity
With this device you can boil a maximum of 1.5 kg of rice
(gross weight). For this you require 3 litres of water. Depend-
ing on the type of rice, this will provide you with approxi-
mately 2.5 kg of boiled rice with a cooking time of approx.
35 min.
The minimum quantity of rice for boiling is 280 g (2 CUPs),
which will provide you with approx. 550 g of boiled rice,
depending on the type of rice used.
If the measuring cup is not at hand, please use a rice-to-
water ratio of 1 : 2 (1 part rice : 2 parts water).
Switch
The appliance is in KEEP WARM mode as soon as it is
plugged in.
Use the switch to change into RICE COOKING mode. This
is only possible if the rice pot is correctly inserted and the
switching contact (in the middle of the hot plate) therefore
properly connected.
Cooking time
Once the water has fully evaporated in the rice pot, the ap-
pliance switches automatically to KEEP WARM, ending the
cooking process.
CAUTION:
The appliance is not suitable for the preparation of rice pud-
ding. Milk could boil over or burn.
Before Initial Use
Remove the packaging.
We recommend cleaning the appliance as described under
