is afhankelijk van de omgevings-
temperatuur en de rijstijl en duur
van de rit.
De bandenspanningen worden
op het multifunctioneel display
temperatuurgecompenseerd
weergegeven, deze gelden voor
een bandentemperatuur van
20 °C. Bij de bandenspannings-
meters van tankstations vindt
geen temperatuurcompensatie
plaats, de gemeten bandenspan-
ning is afhankelijk van de ban-
dentemperatuur. Hierdoor zullen
de daarmee gemeten waarden
meestal niet overeenstemmen
met de waarden op het multi-
functioneel display.
Aanpassing van de
bandenspanning
Vergelijk de RDC-waarde op het
multifunctioneel display met de
waarde op de achterzijde van de
omslag van de handleiding. De
afwijking tussen beide waarden
moet met de bandenspannings-
meter worden gecompenseerd.
Voorbeeld: Volgens de handlei-
ding moet de bandenspanning
2,5 bar bedragen, op het multi-
functioneel display wordt 2,3 bar
weergegeven, dit is dus 0,2 bar
te weinig. De bandenspannings-
meter bij het tankstation geeft
2,4 bar aan. Deze waarde moet
met 0,2 bar worden verhoogd tot
2,6 bar, om de correcte banden-
spanning in te stellen.

met Electronic Suspension Ad-
justment (ESA)

Instelling van de
veervoorspanning
Om een snelle verstelling te
waarborgen, adviseert BMW
Motorrad, bij temperaturen onder
0 °C om een duopassagier pas
na afronding van de verstelling
naar "rijden met duopassagier"
plaats te laten nemen.
De ESA-melding knippert tot de
instelprocedure is afgesloten. Tij-
dens de instelprocedure mag niet
worden gereden.

De speciaal voor de R 1200 GS
ontwikkelde Enduro-ESA be-
schikt allereerst over de van de
andere BMW modellen bekende
wegmodi maar daarnaast over de
speciale Offroad-modi, die door
