Use
• Place the patio burner on stable ground safely away from any combustible materials;
remember the whole Patio Burner will heat up.
• The Patio Burner does not need curing in any way, or sand added to insulate the
metalbase.
• A re can be started with either wood or charcoal. Start the re slowly and add wood /
charcoal as and when required.
• Please note that when moving your Patio Burner, allow bumer to cool fully empty all fuel
then carry from the base.
Points to note
• You can use wood or charcoal in your patio burner but wood gives a more atmospheric
eect.
• Always start your re slowly and do not use re-lighting fuels or products that may
increase temperatures rapidly.
• Let the re go out naturally- do not extinguish with water.
• When not in use do not allow the bowl of your patio burner to ll with water (cover with
the cap provided to stop rain entering and to be removed when in use).
• Extreme winter conditions may cause some discoloration and it is best stored in a garage
or shed over this period.
• Remember your patio burner is not a furnace - it will give plenty of heat under normal
use. Too larger a re may damage your patio burner and could be dangerous.
Grilling
Although your patio burner is meant to be used as a patio warmer, it is possible to cook
certain foods on it.
• Jacket potatoes, meat and sh can be wrapped in foil and cooked in the embers.
• Meat or vegetables kebabs can be cooked on long skewers placed in the top of the patio
burner.
• Ovenproof dishes or reproof casseroles can be placed directly in the patio burner to
cook a variety of foods.
• Remember that cooking times will vary considerably depending on the size of the re,
the size of the patio burner and whether you are using wood or charcoal.
• Experimentation is the only way.
