GPS-satellittsignaler kan ikke trenge gjennom faste stoffer (unntatt glass). Når du

er inne i en tunnel eller bygning, er ikke GPS-posisjonering tilgjengelig.

Minst 4 GPS-satellittsignaler kreves for å bestemme gjeldende GPS-posisjon.

Signalmottak kan påvirkes av situasjoner som dårlig vær eller tette

overhengende hindringer (f.eks. trær og høye bygninger).

Andre trådløse enheter i kjøretøyet kan forstyrre mottaket av satellittsignaler og

føre til at mottaket blir ustabilt.

enheten på et egnet sted, slik at den ikke hindrer førerens sikt eller eventuell

utløsing av kollisjonspute.
