OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Adjustments Depth Of Cut At 90° (Fig.15 & 16)

• The Circular Saw has an adjustable depth of cut. To adjust the depth of cut slacken the knob located on the side of the

machine (Fig.15).

• Measure the depth required from the base plate to the highest point of the blade or use the depth gauge on the ﬁxed guard.

Angle Of Cut 0-45° (Fig. 17)

• Located at the front of the machine is the 0-45° locking knob (Fig.17). Slacken the lever and the base plate assembly will rotate

between 0-45°. Set the desired cutting angle by using degree scale at the front of the machine and tighten the locking lever.

• At the front of the base plate there are two notches marked 90° and 45°. These notches are a guide to indicate the position of

the blade in relation to the cut being made in the material.

Parallel Cutting (Fig.6)

• This machine is supplied with a parallel cutting guide. This cutting guide is ﬁtted to the front of the machine and secured with

the locking knob.

Changing The Blade (Figs. 3-5)

• Always ensure that the Circular Saw is disconnected from the battery before carrying out any maintenance or adjustments.

• The blade is extremely sharp and care must be observed when handling.

• Caution must be observed as the blade guard is spring loaded and if released may cause an injury. Rotate the blade guard into

the fully open position and secure it in this position using a screwdriver or piece of wood.

• Depress the spindle lock (Fig. 3) and using the supplied hex key, unscrew the hex socket screw in an anti-clockwise direction.

• Remove the hex socket screw and the retaining ﬂange noting which way round the retaining ﬂange is ﬁtted. You can now

remove the blade.

• Do not dispose of the blade in house-hold waste, recycle correctly.

• Take note of the position of the inner ﬂange, if this should fall oﬀ it must be replaced

• Remove any wood debris from around the motor spindle and the two ﬂanges.

• Fit the new blade as shown in (Fig.5) ensuring that the direction of rotation arrow on the blade corresponds with the direction

of rotation arrow on the ﬁxed guard. Replace the retaining ﬂange and blade bolt.

• Tighten the hex socket screw securely but do not over tighten.

• Check the tightness of the hex socket screw before, during and after each use.

• Remove the piece of wood or screwdriver that is holding it in the open position. Slowly release the guard so that it covers the

blade.

• Check the operation of the blade guard making sure that it operates correctly. The operation is complete and your machine

is ready for use.
