(Original instructions)
Fitting and removing a drill bit or screwdriver bit
The drill/screwdriver head is tted with a keyless chuck to
allow for an easy exchange of bits.
u Lock the tool by setting the forward/reverse slider (2) to
the centre position.
u Open the chuck (9) by turning the front part clockwise with
one hand while holding the rear part with the other.
u Insert the bit shaft into the chuck (9).
u Firmly tighten the chuck (9) by turning the front part anti-
clockwise with one hand while holding the rear part with
the other.
u To remove the screwdriver bit from the bit holder, lift the bit
from the recess.
u To store the screwdriver bit, rmly push it into the holder.
Fitting and removing a saw blade (g. D)
u Lock the tool by setting the forward/reverse slider (2) to
the centre position.
u To t a saw blade, press the lever (15) down and hold it in
this position.
u Insert the saw blade into the blade clamp (11) as shown.
Make sure that the teeth are pointing to the front.
u Release the lever.
u To remove the saw blade, press the lever (15) down and
pull the saw blade from the holder.
Fitting and removing sanding sheets (g. E)
The sanding head uses pre-cut sanding sheets.
u Lock the tool by setting the forward/reverse slider (2) to
the centre position.
u Before tting a new sheet, remove the two additional
diamond tips (16).
u To t a sanding sheet, line it up with the sanding base (14)
as shown.
u Press the sheet rmly and evenly onto the sanding base,
making sure that the holes in the sheet coincide with the
holes in the base.
u To remove the sheet, pull it off the sanding pad.
Warning! Never use the sanding head without a sanding
sheet or accessory in place.
Replacing the diamond sanding tip (g. F)
Sanding sheets are supplied with two replacement diamond
tips. The diamond tip can be reversed when worn. When both
sides are worn, replace the diamond tip.
u Lock the tool by setting the forward/reverse slider (2) to
the centre position.
u To reverse the tip, remove it, turn it 180° and press it back
onto the base.
u To replace the tip, pull the old tip off the base and press a
new one onto the base.
Warning! When removing the tip from the pad, be careful not
to pull the pad off the sanding base.
Fitting and removing the dust extraction adaptor
(g. G)
u Line up the dust extraction adaptor (17) with the sanding
head (13) as shown.
u Press the adaptor rmly and evenly in to the sanding
base.
u Connect a vacuum cleaner to the dust extraction adaptor.
u To remove, pull the dust extraction adaptor (17) out of the
sanding head (13).

Warning! Let the tool work at its own pace. Do not overload.
Warning! Before drilling into walls, oors or ceilings, check for
the location of wiring and pipes.
Charging the battery (g. H)
The battery needs to be charged before rst use and whenev-
er it fails to produce sufcient power on jobs that were easily
done before. The battery may become warm while charging;
this is normal and does not indicate a problem.
Warning! Do not charge the battery at ambient temperatures
below 10 °C or above 40 °C. Recommended charging tem-
perature: approx. 24 °C.
Note: The charger will not charge a battery if the cell
temperature is below approximately 0 °C or above 40 °C.
The battery should be left in the charger and the charger
will begin to charge automatically when the cell tempera-
ture warms up or cools down.
u To charge the battery (5), insert it into the charger (18).
The battery will only t into the charger in one way. Do
not force. Be sure that the battery is fully seated in the
charger.
u Plug in the charger and switch on at the mains.
The charging indicator (19) will ash green continuously
(slowly).
The charge is complete when the charging indicator (19)
lights green continuously. The charger and the battery can be
left connected indenitely with the LED illuminated. The LED
will change to ashing green (charging) state as the charger
occasionally tops off the battery charge. The charging indica-
tor (19) will be lit as long as the battery is connected to the
plugged-in charger.
u Charge discharged batteries within 1 week. Battery life will
be greatly diminished if stored in a discharged state.
Leaving the battery in the charger
The charger and battery pack can be left connected with the
LED glowing indenitely. The charger will keep the battery
pack fresh and fully charged.
