Item Description
120gritprolesandingsheet.
For a medium nish for prole sanding.
Assembly
Warning! Before assembly, make sure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged.
Fittingsandingsheets(g.A&B)
u Detach the two diamond-shaped tips (11) from the sanding
sheet (12).
u Hold the tool with the sanding base facing upwards.
u Place the sanding sheet (12) onto the sanding base,
making sure that the holes in the sheet line up with the
holes in the base.
The diamond-shaped tip (11) can be reversed and replaced
when worn.
u When the front part of the tip is worn, detach it from the
sheet, reverse it and press it onto the sanding base again.
u When the whole tip is worn, remove it from the sanding
base and t a new tip.
u The polishing foam and pads (13) can be tted the same
way as the sanding sheets.
Tipofthesandingbase(g.C)
When the sanding base tip (6) or tip holder (5) is worn, it can
be reversed or replaced. Spare parts are available from your
Black & Decker dealer.
u Remove the screw (9).
u Reverse or replace the worn part.
u Fit and tighten the screw.
Fingerattachment(g.D)
The nger attachment is used for ne detail sanding.
u Remove the screw (9).
u Remove the diamond-shaped tip holder (5) from the
sanding base.
u Fit the nger attachment (7) onto the sanding base.
u Fit and tighten the screw.
u Fit the appropriate sanding sheet (14) onto the nger
attachment.
Proleattachment(g.E)
The prole attachment is used for contour sanding.
u Remove the screw (9).
u Remove the diamond-shaped tip holder (5) from the
sanding base.
u Fit the prole attachment (8) onto the sanding base.
u Fit and tighten the screw.
Fittingandremovingasandingprole(g.F1&F2)
u Choose the sanding prole most suitable for your application.
u Place one end of the sanding prole (10) into the recess at
the front end of the prole holder (8).
u Push the other end of the sanding prole until it clicks into
place.
u To remove the sanding prole, push it forward and pull the
rear end out of the prole holder (g. F2).
Fittingasandingsheetontoasandingprole(g.G)
u Align the sanding sheet (15) with the sanding prole (10).
u Press the sanding sheet onto the sanding prole, making
sure that the sanding sheet follows the shape of the prole.
Connectingavacuumcleaner(g.H)
The tool has an adaptor to connect it to a vacuum cleaner
when sanding wood. To connect the tool to a vacuum cleaner,
proceed as follows:
u Fit the dust extraction connector (3) onto the adapter at
the back of the tool.
u Connect the hose of a suitable vacuum cleaner to the
connector.
Use
Warning! Let the tool work at its own pace. Do not overload.
Warning! Do not cover the ventilation slots when using the
tool. Hold the tool as shown in g. I. Make sure that the
sanding base is at on the workpiece.
Switching on and off
u Hold the tool off the workpiece.
u To switch the tool on, set the on/off switch (1) to position I.
u A single red light will ash. Wait until the red light turns to
green. This means the tool is ready to use.
u To switch the tool off, set the on/off switch to position O.
Note: Repeat the procedure above each time the tool is
switched on to optimise results of the feature. Failure to follow
the proper procedure may result in the settings not working as
intended.
Usingtheautopressureindicator(g.J1-J4)
This tool is tted with an auto pressure indicator (2),
which lights up when you are applying the correct amount of
pressure to achieve optimal sanding results:
J1 Single red light ashes when the tool is switched on.
Once the red light turns green the tool is ready to use.
J2 Single green light indicates the tool is ready to use.
This setting can be used for delicate and contour sanding.
