5. LOCALISATION GEOGRAPHIQUE
Le Binom X2 est localisable soit par LBS (Location Based Services /
Localisation basée sur des Services) soit par GPS (Global Positionning
System / Système de Positionnement Global).
5.1. Localisation LBS
Principe général
La localisation LBS fournit une information sur la position du téléphone
dans le réseau de l’opérateur ; plus précisément il fournit les coordonnées
géographiques de la station de base d’émission/réception GSM (ou
antenne relai) à laquelle est associé le téléphone.
Cette technologie fournit donc une information sur la position
géographique du téléphone qui est approximative, et dont la précision
dépend de la distance du téléphone avec la station de base, du réseau
mobile, la plus proche. Cette technologie est surtout utilisée en milieu
intérieur quand la localisation GPS n’est pas possible, faute de bonne
réception du signal GPS.
La réponse à une requête en localisation LBS se présente sous la forme de
4 informations dont la valeur est numérique :
- MCC : Mobile Country Code (Code mobile du pays) = 208 pour la
France
