ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Instructions for minimizing environmental impact (e.g. energy consumption):
• Use the extractor hood at the appropriate performance level.
• Select a lower level for the motor of the extractor hood when the vapor is reduced.
• Do not keep the motor of the extractor hood running unnecessarily.
• Make sure that the cleaning intervals for the grease filters are adhered to.
• Make sure that the cross section is optimized for the exhaust air system.
The exhaust air system should have smooth interior pipe walls. Avoid diverters and constrictions.
Disposing of transportation packaging
The packaging protects the equipment against transportation damage. The packaging materials were selected
based on environmental compatibility and technical disposal criteria and are therefore recyclable. Recycling
the packaging conserves natural resources and reduces waste. Your dealer is required to reclaim the packaging.
Packaging materials (such as foils, Styrofoam) can be a danger to children. They represent a choking hazard! Keep
packaging materials out of the reach of children and dispose of packaging materials as quickly as possible.
Disposing end-of-life equipment
Electrical and electronic end-of-life equipment in many cases still contains valuable
materials. But they also contain hazardous substances that were needed for their
function and safety. If disposed of in the household waste the environment. You
should therefore never dispose of your end-of-life equipment in the household waste.
You should therefore take advantage of the collection point installed by your
municipality for recycling electrical and electronic .end-of-life equipment.
Please ensure that your end-of-life equipment is stored in a child-proof manner
until it is transported away!!
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience problems after installing the hood please start by performing the following checks and
taking into account the following solutions:
Lights do not work
Verify that all lightbulbs are properly seated. If individual units do not work, check whether the particular
lightbulb works in another connector. Replace the lightbulb as needed.
Blower runs without air being extracted
Switch off the hood and verify that the equipment is connected properly to the exhaust air system.
Hood not working as efficiently as usual
Clean the installed filters Grease and dust will reduce hood efficiency over time.
Operating noise of the hood unusually loud and/or other noises are heard in addition to the operating
noise.
Start by checking whether the hood was installed flush with the wall. If the unit was not installed flush, the blower
unit can run out of balance, which in turn can result in irregular vibrations that can generate undesirable noise.
If appropriate, modify the installation position so that the hood hangs flush with the wall. Verify that all screws
are properly tightened. Loose screws can also result in vibration noise. Retighten screws as required.
You should always refer to the installation instructions. The noise level will increase: when the pipe cross section
is reduced below 177 cm
2
when the exhaust air duct is lengthened or ducts are angled (bends greater than 90°)
The hood does not work at all
Check the power connection to the hood. Verify that the plug is properly seated in the socket, or that the
hard-wired connection was installed correctly. Contact customer service immediately if the power supply
can be excluded as the source of the malfunction.
