FITTING THE BATTERIES.-
This monitor uses two 1.5 volt
ALKALINE BATTERIES. To fit the
batteries, remove the rear cover on
the monitor, Fig.1, and carefully insert
the two “R-6” type batteries into the
battery compartment making sure that
the battery’s polarity is correct
(matching the battery’s «+» terminal
with the «+» sign inside the battery
compartment, and the «-» terminal
with the «-» sign). Close the cover.
If, after having switched the monitor
on, it displays errors or merely partial
segments then remove the batteries
and wait for about 15 seconds before
reinstalling them.
Weak batteries (run down) produce a
weak digital display (poor contrast)
and erroneous readings. Change them
immediately.
The monitor will switch itself off
automatically if the unit remains
motionless for 5 minutes.
If you see the words BATT LOW
flashing on the display screen, change
the batteries immediately.
Important. Discarded batteries must
be deposited in special containers,

ELECTRONIC MONITOR.-
Take the monitor (2) and the bracket
(1), as shown in Fig.3, and screw
them together using screw (3).
Position the bracket (1) on the
handlebar, fit the locking knob (4), as
shown in Fig.4, and tighten the knob.
Plug terminal (h) for the middle cable
into terminal (k) for the monitor, Fig.5.
2.-SETTING THE TIME ON
THE MONITOR.-
When the batteries are
fitted into the monitor’s
battery compartment
(A), Fig.1, the display
screen will show the
message CLOCK.
Press and hold the SET
key for a few
seconds until
the message
SET CLOCK
appears, use
the ▼▲ keys
to select a 24 or 12 hour format and
press the MODE key to confirm.
Next the hour digits will flash, use the
▼▲ keys to select and press the
MODE key to confirm.
Next the minute digits will flash, use
the ▼▲ keys to select and press the
MODE key to confirm.
Next the second digits will flash, use
the ▼▲ keys to select and press the
MODE key to confirm.
Press and hold the MODE
key for a few seconds to
pass to the next screen.
3.- CHANGING FROM km TO
Miles.-
Press the MODE key and
select the adjacent screen,
this displays the message
SPD (speed) KM/H. Press
