CUSTOM ONE PRO – User Manual
Congratulations on your purchase of a set of beyerdynamic CUSTOM series head-
phones. We would like to thank you for demonstrating your confidence in our
brand. Before using your headphones for the first time, please take a moment to
carefully read the following information.
Safety Instructions
• When connecting the headphones, make sure the volume is turned to mini-
mum. Only adjust the volume after putting the headphones on. Do not turn
the volume up too loud. You could cause permanent damage to your hearing.
• When using cabled headphones please avoid any extreme movements which
may cause the headphones to fall off. You could sustain serious injury,
especially if you have piercings or are wearing earrings or glasses etc. The
cable could become wound around the neck and cause strangulation.
Characteristics and Use
The CUSTOM series represents an entirely new concept which transforms the
experience of listening to music via headphones into an interactive event. Thanks
to CUSTOM sound, CUSTOM style and the CUSTOM cable, the headphones can
be adapted at any given time to any given requirements – providing an all-in-one
solution for almost any scenario.
CUSTOM Sound Slider
The CUSTOM sound sliders ensure that your listening experience couldn’t be
more individual. Variable bass reflex vents on the side of the housing shells
incrementally alter the audio characteristics of the headphones in four stages.
The following settings are possible using the CUSTOM sound slider on the right
and left housing shell:

CUSTOM Noise Isolation
A further feature of the innovative CUSTOM sound slider: closing the headphones
gradually increases sound isolation. Ambient noise such as the humming of
aeroplane engines or street noise is attenuated considerably.
CUSTOM Style
The headphones are not only interactive in terms of sound but also design. The
rings, covers and ear pads of the headphone shells can be exchanged just as
easily as the headband pad. All accessories can be found at:

Changing covers and/or rings
1. Unscrew the four screws on the ring using the Allen key included with the
headphones and remove the ring, the cover and the inlay.
2. Place the new cover and inlay in position and screw the ring back in place.

Changing the Headband Pad
1. Open the Velcro and remove the padding from the headband. Take care not
to damage the cable.
2. Place the new opened headband pad on the underside of the headband. Make
sure to lay the cable in the crease of the pad on the outer edge of the band.
Tip: to do this, splay the headphones slightly, over both knees, for example.
3. First close the middle Velcro fastening and then the two outer ones.
Changing the Ear Pads
1. Place the lip of the ear pad in the notch at the top of the headphone casing.
2. Then turn the ear pad on the right-hand casing clockwise and the left-hand
casing anti-clockwise until the lip of the entire pad is sitting outside the
casing.

CUSTOM Cable
The cable couldn’t be more flexible – and just like the headphones, can be
modified with ease. Various cable options and headsets can be found at:

Changing the Cable
1. Pull the cable, which is connected at one side, out of the headphones.
2. When inserting the new cable, make sure that the slot in the connector
housing is turned towards the detent in the housing shell.

Maintenance
For reasons of hygiene, the ear pads and headband should be cleaned occasionally
with a soft damp cloth. Take care that water does not come into contact with the
transducers. You may need to change the ear and headband pads from time to
time as a result of normal wear and tear. This is easy to do yourself. In the event
that other components need to be replaced, please contact your local beyerdynamic
representative.

bitte einige Minuten Zeit und lesen Sie diese Information vor Inbetriebnahme
aufmerksam durch.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Wenn Sie den Kopfhörer anschließen, achten Sie darauf, dass die Lautstärke
(Volume) auf Minimum gedreht ist. Regeln Sie die Lautstärke erst nach
Aufsetzen des Hörers. Stellen Sie die Lautstärke nicht zu hoch ein. Sie
können Ihr Gehör dauerhaft schädigen.
• Bei kabelgebundenen Kopfhörern sollten Sie heftige Bewegungen vermeiden,
bei denen der Hörer vom Kopf fallen kann. Sie könnten sich ernsthaft ver-
letzen, insbesondere, wenn Sie Piercings, Ohrringe, Brille usw. tragen. Das
Kabel könnte sich um den Hals wickeln und zur Strangulation führen.
Charakteristik und Anwendung
Die CUSTOM Serie ist ein völlig neues Konzept und macht das Musikhören mit
Kopfhörern interaktiv. Durch CUSTOM Sound, CUSTOM Style und das CUSTOM
Cable kann sich der Kopfhörer jederzeit an die gewünschten Anforderungen
anpassen und bietet für nahezu jeden Einsatzzweck eine All-In-One-Lösung:
CUSTOM Sound Slider
Für maximale Individualität beim Hören sorgen die CUSTOM Sound Slider:
Variable Bassreflexöffnungen an den Gehäuseschalen ändern die Klangcharak-
teristik des Kopfhörers in vier Stufen.
Folgende Einstellungen sind mit dem CUSTOM Sound Slider an der rechten und
linken Gehäuseschale möglich:

CUSTOM Noise Isolation
Ein weiteres Feature der innovativen CUSTOM Sound Slider: Sie dichten beim
Schließen den Kopfhörer schrittweise immer stärker ab. Umweltgeräusche wie
brummende Flugzeugturbinen oder Straßenlärm werden erheblich gedämpft.
CUSTOM Style
Interaktiv ist nicht nur der Sound des Kopfhörers, sondern auch sein Design.
Die Ringe, Covers und Ohrpolster der Hörerschalen sind ebenso austauschbar wie
das Kopfpolster. Alle Zubehörteile finden Sie online unter:

Covers und/oder Ringe wechseln
1. Lösen Sie mit dem mitgelieferten Sechskantwerkzeug die vier Schrauben am
Ring und nehmen Sie den Ring, das Cover und die Unterlegscheibe ab.
2. Legen Sie das neue Cover mit der Unterlegscheibe auf und schrauben Sie
den Ring wieder an.

Kopfpolster wechseln
1. Öffnen Sie den Klettverschluss und ziehen Sie das Polster vom Kopfbügel.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie das Kabel nicht beschädigen.
2. Legen Sie das neue, geöffnete Kopfpolster an der Unterseite des Kopfbügels
an. Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie das Kabel in die Falte des Polsters an der
Außenkante des Bügels einlegen. Tipp: Spreizen Sie hierfür den Hörer z.B.
über beide Knie.
3. Schließen Sie zuerst den mittleren Klettverschluss und dann die beiden
äußeren Klettverschlüsse.
Ohrpolster wechseln
1. Hängen Sie das Ohrpolster mit dem Halterand über die Kerbe, die sich oben
an der Hörerschale befindet.
2. Drehen Sie dann das Ohrpolster an der rechten Hörerschale im Uhrzeigersinn
und an der linken Hörerschale entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn bis sich der Rand
des kompletten Ohrpolsters über der Hörerschale befindet.

Maximale Flexibilität auch beim Kabel, das ebenso einfach modifiziert werden
kann wie der ganze Kopfhörer. Verschiedene Kabelvarianten und Headsets

Kabel wechseln
1. Ziehen Sie das einseitig geführte Kabel vom Hörer ab.
2. Achten Sie beim Anschluss des neuen Kabels darauf, dass der Schlitz im
Steckergehäuse zur Rastnase in der Gehäuseschale des Hörers gedreht ist.

Pflege
Aus hygienischen Gründen sollten Sie die Ohrpolster und den Kopfbügel
gelegentlich mit einem weichen feuchten Tuch reinigen. Achten Sie darauf, dass
kein Wasser in die Wandler läuft. Da Ohr- und Kopfpolster einem natürlichen Ver-
schleiß unterliegen, wird es von Zeit zu Zeit notwendig, sie auszutauschen. Dies
können Sie leicht selbst machen. Müssen weitere Komponenten ersetzt werden,
wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihre zuständige beyerdynamic-Vertretung.

Instrucciones de seguridad
• Al conectar los auriculares, preste atención a que el volumen (Volume) esté
puesto al mínimo. Regule el volumen una vez que se haya puesto los auriculares.
No suba demasiado el volumen. Podría provocar daños permanentes en el oído.
• Para los auriculares con cable se deberán evitar los movimientos bruscos que
puedan hacer caer los auriculares de la cabeza. Podría provocar lesiones
graves, sobre todo si lleva piercings, pendientes, gafas, etc. El cable podría
enrollarse al cuello y estrangularle.

La serie CUSTOM es un concepto totalmente novedoso que imprime carácter
interactivo a la reproducción musical con auriculares. CUSTOM Sound,
CUSTOM Style y CUSTOM Cable permiten en todo momento adaptar los auri-
culares a las necesidades individuales, ofreciendo una solución «todo en uno»
para prácticamente cualquier finalidad:
CUSTOM Sound Slider
Los CUSTOM Sound Sliders constituyen la herramienta que brinda un máximo
de individualidad a la reproducción del sonido: Las aperturas variables del bass
reflex (reflejo de bajos) en las carcasas permiten modificar en cuatro niveles las
características de sonido de los auriculares.
Mediante el botón deslizante CUSTOM Sound Slider situado en la carcasa
derecha e izquierda es posible efectuar los ajustes siguientes:
