Merilni princip diagnostične tehtnice

Tehtnica deluje na principu bioelektrične impedančne analize. V nekaj sekundah električni tok, ki ga

Nasprotno pa maščobne celice in kosti zaradi zelo velikega upora slabo prevajajo električni tok.

Vrednosti, ki jih določi diagnostična tehtnica, so samo približki medicinskih realnih vrednosti analize

telesa. Telesno maščobo, vodo v telesu, delež mišic in okostja lahko z medicinskimi metodami (npr.

računalniško tomografijo) natančno določi samo zdravnik specialist.
