Important Notes — keep for later use!
Warning: The scales must not be used by persons with medical
implants (particularly heart pacemakers)! Otherwise their function
may be impaired.
1. Caution - For your safety
- Do not use on pregnant woman. Inaccurate measurements may arise due to the amniotic fluid.
- Caution! Don´t step on the scales with wet feet and don´t step on the damp surface - Slippery surface!
- Protect your personal scales from impact with hard objects, moisture, dust, chemicals, toiletries, liquid cos-
metics, great temperature fluctuation and closeness to sources of heat (open fires, radiators).
- Repairs may only be performed by Beurer Customer Service or by accredited retailers. However, always test
the batteries and replace them if necessary, before returning for repairs. If repair work is necessary, howe-
ver, first remove the batteries and then pack the personal scales in the original box prior to transportation.
- All our personal scales comply with EU guideline 89/336 + relevant supplements. Should you have any
questions regarding operation and usage of our appliances, please contact your local retailers or Beurer
Customer Service.
- Clean the housing of your personal scales with a soft and slightly damp cloth. Do not use any aggresive
detergents and do not submerge the scales.
- All personal scales are intended for private use and have not been developed for medical or commercial
purposes.
- An age range of 10...100 years and heights of 100...220 cm
(3-03” - 7-03”)

. The weight measurement is
displayed in 100 g
(0,2 lb, 1/4 St)
divisions. The measuring results for body fat are displayed in 0.1% divi-
sions. The results of the body fat and water analysis are displayed in 0.1% steps.
- On delivery, the scales are set to the “cm” and “kg” units. The switch at the back of the scales allows you
to change to “inch” (“) and “pound/Stones” (lb, St).
2. Operation
2.1 Batteries
Pull off the battery insulating strip on the cover of the battery compartment and remove the
battery’s protective film and insert the battery according to polarity. If the scales show no
function remove the batteries completely and put them in again.
Your personal scales are fitted with a ”replace battery” display. If the personal scales are operated using an
extremely weak battery, the message ”Lo” will appear on the display panel and the personal scales switch off
automatically. In this case, the batteries must be replaced (1 piece 3V lithium battery CR 2032).
Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste! They
are considered to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special containers,
toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers. You are legally obliged
to dispose of the batteries. Note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as
follows: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains
mercury.
Position the personal scales on a firm, flat surface; a firm flooring is a basic requirement for correct weight
measurement.
