AMR
Il metabolismo di attività (AMR=Active Metabolic Rate) è la quantità di energia che il corpo consuma giornal-
mente in stato attivo. Il consumo energetico di un essere umano aumenta con l‘incremento della sua attività
fisica e viene determinato nella bilancia diagnostica tramite il livello di attività (1– 5).
Per mantenere il peso attuale è necessario rifornire al corpo l‘energia consumata assumendo alimenti sotto
forma solida e liquida. Se, durante un lungo periodo, si apporta al corpo un’energia inferiore a quella consu-
mata, il corpo compensa la differenza essenzialmente a spese della riserva di grasso accumulata, ed il peso
diminuisce. Se, viceversa, si apporta al corpo durante un lungo periodo una quantità di energia superiore a
quella totale calcolata (AMR), il corpo non può bruciare l‘eccesso di energia, ma lo deposita nel corpo sotto
forma di grasso, ed il peso aumenta.
