VENTILATIE VAN DE RUIMTE
Voor de correcte werking van het apparaat dient de ruimte waarin het geïnstalleerd is voortdurend
geventileerd te worden. De ruimte dient ten minste 25 m³ groot te zijn en de hoeveelheid benodigde lucht is
afhankelijk van de normale verbranding van gas en de ventilatie van de ruimte. Er dient natuurlijke lucht door
permanente openingen in de muren van de te ventileren ruimte te stromen: deze openingen dienen in
verbinding te staan met de buitenomgeving en de minimale doorsnede te hebben zoals bepaald in de
geldende landelijke normen voor ventilatie van ruimtes (zie fig. 3).
Deze openingen dienen zo gemaakt te worden dat ze niet geblokkeerd kunnen worden.
Ook indirecte ventilatie met lucht uit aangrenzende ruimtes is toegestaan.

De verbrandingsproducten van gasfornuizen dienen altijd afgevoerd te worden door middel van
afzuigkappen die in verbinding staan met schoorstenen, rookkanalen of direct met de buitenomgeving (zie
fig. 4). Indien er geen afzuigkap geïnstalleerd kan worden, kan er gebruik gemaakt worden van een
ventilator in een raam of in directe verbinding met de buitenomgeving die gelijktijdig met het apparaat
ingeschakeld wordt, mits dit geheel voldoet aan de ventilatievoorschriften.
