CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Cleaning the housing

1. Clean the outer surface of all parts with a damp cloth and a cleaner suitable for plastics.

2. Over the course of time dust and dirt can accumulate around the wheel axles, thereby preventing the

wheels from turning easily. Consequently they should be kept clean.

• Never immerse the appliance, plug or power cord in water.

• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes)

to clean the appliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Removing the dust from the dust receptacle

Remove the dust from the receptacle at periodic intervals.

1. Remove the dust receptacle by pressing the release

button on the dust receptacle

2. Remove the filter from the motor housing.

3. Clean the filter, if necessary (see ‘Cleaning the filter’).

4. Dispose of the dust from the receptacle in a dustbin.

5. Return the filter to the motor housing.

6. Fit the receptacle to the motor housing. Figure 6

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Cleaning the filter

You will need to clean the filter when it is severely fouled.

Failure to do so can result in reduced suction, and may even

cause damage to the motor.

1. Remove filter from the motor housing.

2. Rinse the filter in lukewarm water.

3. Allow the filter to dry thoroughly.

4. Return the filter to the motor housing.

5. Fit the receptacle to the motor housing.

• Do not clean the filter in a dishwasher.

• Do not use appliances such as a hairdryer to dry the filter.
