OPERATION - General
The appliance is intended
only for domestic use,
not for professional use.

2. Latch for opening and closing
3. Handle
4. a. Red indicatoin light
“power”
b. Green indicatoin light
“heating”
5. Power cord with plug
OPERATION - Before the first use
1. Remove the sandwich maker from the packaging, and remove all packaging materials.
2. Clean the baking plates before using them for the first time (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).
OPERATION - Preparation
1. Put the plug in the wall socket. The “power” indicator lamp (red) will illuminate to show that the
appliance is on.
2. Take four slices of bread that fit in the sandwich maker. Cut the edges off slices that are too large, so
that they fit in the appliance.
3. Allow the sandwich maker to heat up in the closed position.
4. Lay two slices of ham and/or cheese on two slices of bread, and cover with the other two slices of
bread. Make sure that the ham and/or cheese does not project from the sandwich.
Do not use butter; you do not need butter to prepare a delicious toasted sandwich.
The non-stick coating
will ensure that the sandwich does not stick to the baking plates.
Try varying the ingredients. You can use herbs, fruit, and various types of cheese and meat to make
delicious sandwiches.
You can also make just one sandwich. You just leave the other baking plate empty.
OPERATION - Toasting sandwiches
1. Wait until the green indicator light goes on. The baking plates are now at the correct temperature and
the sandwich maker is ready for use.
During use the heating element will switch on and off to keep the temperature of the baking plate
constant. Consequently the indicator light will also occasionally be illuminated.
The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time.
This is normal, and will soon stop. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation. If necessary,
toast the first sandwiches without ham or cheese and throw them away.
2. Open the latch and lift the cover by the handle.
3. Place the prepared sandwiches in the forms in the baking plate.
4. Close the cover and click the latch closed.
