OPERATION - Brewing coffee
1. Open the water reservoir lid (1). Pour an ample amount of water into the reservoir (no less than 2 and no
more than 12 cups).
2. Open the filter lid (4).
The coffee maker includes a permanent filter
(See image 2). There is no need to use a paper
filter. However, if you do wish to use paper
filters, you are able to place a paper filter (1x4)
in place of the permanent filter.
3. Fill the filter with the desired amount of ground
coffee. (usually 1 level measuring scoop per
cup).
4. Close the filter lid.
5. Place the glass jug (6) onto the keep-warm
plate (8).
6. Press the on/off button (9) to turn on the
appliance. The red ‘Heating’ indicator light (15)
lights up. The coffee is being brewed.
During coffee brewing:
The pause-and-serve function enables you to pour a cup of coffee before the coffee
maker has
finished. Replace the carafe quickly, to prevent the filter from overflowing.
The lid is hot when the appliance is turned on! Be careful when opening the lid during use. The hot
steam can cause burns.
If you wish to halt the brewing prematurely you will need to push the on/off switch.
After coffee brewing:
The hot plate keeps the coffee warm for 35 minutes.
After 35 minutes of keeping warm, the appliance will automatically shut off.
OPERATION - Programming the coffee maker for a later time
When you have set the appliance’s clock to the correct time, you can program it to brew coffee at a later time.
1. Press the program button (11). In the display (14) the word “SET” appears.
3. Press the hour button (12) to enter the correct hour. Every time you press the button the time will be
adjusted by a single hour. You may also keep the button the pressed to adjust the hours more quickly.
4. Press the miute button (13) to enter the correct minute. Every time you press the button the time will
be adjusted by a single minute. You may also keep the button the pressed to adjust the minutes more
quickly.
5. The entered time will now be blinking on the display. After a few seconds, it will stop blinking and the
current time will reappear on the display.
6. Press the auto button (10). The green ‘Timer’ indicator light (16) lights up.
The timer has now been set. At the entered time, the coffee maker will start brewing coffee.The red ‘Heating’
indicator light (15) will then light up.
Please note: if power to the device is cut, the programming will be lost and the time will have to be
entered again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Switch off the appliance
2. Remove the plug from the wall socket, and if necessary allow the appliance to cool.
3. Remove the filter holder from the device, and clean it under running water.
4. Clean the carafe in hot washing-up water, or put it in a dishwasher.
5. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. Make sure no moisture gets
into the appliance.
