Elasticator foot
Use a 3- or 4-thread overlock. Use 3-thread overlock and the right-hand
needle for 5-7 mm wide elastic. 4-thread for 5-12 mm elastics.
1. Attach the elasticator (A) (See page 17 changing the presser foot ).
2. Turn the stitch length adjustment dial (B) to 4.
3. Turn the presser foot pressure regulating knob (C) to position H.
IMPORTANT: After completing the work with the elasticator re-set the
presser foot pressure.
4. Raise the needle to its highest position (D).
5. Raise the roller guide (E).
6. Lift the presser foot (D).
7. Insert the elastic (F) into the slot along the left edge.
8. Lower the presser foot (G) and sew a few stitches until the elastic lies
along the right edge of the slot.
9. Lower the roller guide (H).
10. Loosen the setscrew (I) and adjust the guide plate (J) to the width of
the elastic. Re-tighten setscrew.
11. Make a trial run.
Loosen the pressure adjustment setscrew (K) fully, place the fabric under
the foot so that the edge of the fabric will be cut off.
Sew a few stitches then turn the pressure adjustment setscrew clockwise
until the gathering is as required.
IMPORTANT: For an even feed especially in Þ ne fabrics, the pressure
should not be too high.
Pie prénsatelas para coser cintas elásticas
Pueden coserse cintas elásticas de 5 a 12 mm. Para cintas de 5 a 7 mm
utilizar el punto Overlock de 3 hilos, aguja derecha y para cintas más an-
chas el punto Overlock de 4 hilos.
1. Sujetar el pie prénsatelas para coser cintas elásticas en el vástago (A).
Para ello consultar consultar la página 17, cambio del pie prénsatelas.
2. Colocar el largo del punto a su regulaciónde base 4 (B).
3. Regular la presión del pie prénsatelas aposición H.
IMPORTANTE: Después de acabar el trabajo con el pie prénsatelas para
coser cintas elásticas, colocar sin falta la presión del pie prénsatelas a M.
4. Subir las agujas en su posición más alta.
5. Levantar la guía enrolladora (E).
6. Subir el pie prénsatelas (D).
7. Meter la cinta elástica (F) a lo largo de la ranura de la guía lateral (G).
8. Bajar el pie prénsatelas (G) y coser algunos puntos hasta que la cinta
elástica se apoye en la parte derecha a lo largo de la ranura para la
cinta.
9. Bajar la guía enrolladora.
10. Aß ojar el tornillo de ajuste (I) y adaptar la guía lateral (J) a la anchura
de la cinta elástica. Apretar de nuevo el tornillo de ajuste.
11. Hacer una costura de prueba.
Aß ojar completamente el tornillo de regulación de la presión, colocar el
tejido debajo del pie prénsatelas de manera que se corte el borde del
tejido. Coser algunos puntos, después girar el tornillo de regulación de
la presión en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hasta que se consiga el
efecto de fruncido deseado.
IMPORTANTE: Para un transporte/arrastre uniforme, sobre todo en ma-
teriales delicados, no poner una presión demasiado alta.
