Kippt das BEN-E-BIKE jedoch einmal um und zwar auf die Antriebsseite, besteht die Gefahr, dass das Schaltwerk
oder dessen Befestigung (Schaltauge) verbogen wird. Nach solchen Zwischenfällen sollten Sie den Schwenkbereich
kontrollieren.
• Schalten Sie mit dem Schalthebel auf den kleinsten Zahnkranz. Der Schaltzug ist dann völlig entspannt, die
Kette läuft automatisch auf dem kleinsten Ritzel. Schauen Sie von hinten auf das Zahnkranzpaket und
prüfen Sie, ob die Leitrollen des Schaltwerks genau unter den Zahnspitzen des kleinsten Zahnkranzes
liegen.
• Ist dies nicht der Fall, müssen Sie die Position mit der "H" Endanschlagschraube korrigieren.
• Drehen Sie die Schraube rechts herum, wenn die Rollen weiter innen, oder in der Gegenrichtung, wenn die
Rollen weiter außen laufen sollen.
• Schalten Sie auf den größten Zahnkranz. Dabei ist Vorsicht geboten, damit das Schaltwerk nicht sofort in
die Speichen gerät. Liegt die Kette auf dem größten Zahnkranz, sollten Sie bewusst überschalten und
danach das Schaltwerk von Hand in Richtung der Speichen drücken.
• Versetzen Sie dazu das Laufrad in Drehbewegung. Berührt der Leitrollenkäfig die Speichen oder klettert die
Kette über das Ritzel, sollten Sie den Schwenkbereich begrenzen.
• Drehen Sie an der "L" Endanschlagschraube, bis die Kollision zuverlässig ausgeschlossen ist.
Nicht korrekt eingestellte Endanschläge oder ein verbogenes Schaltauge können dazu führen, dass das Hinterrad
blockiert und damit ein Sturz provoziert wird.
