Fitting the child seat with Isofix and the
support leg
Warning: the child seat can only be fitted with
the Isofix system in the positions shown in the
vehicle’s user manual. Before installation, check
the vehicle’s user manual to see whether its
various seats are compatible with the size and
anchoring systems of your child restraint.
Warning: before installation, ensure that your
car is compatible with the Isofix system. See the
paragraph “List of compatible vehicles”.
Fitting
Line up the seat protectors with the Isofix
attachment points. The protectors make the
fitting procedure easier and protect the vehicle’s
seats (fig. 10).
Swing the support leg (C) out forwards until it is
completely open (fig. 11).
Press the button (B) and push the Isofix system
all the way back in order to fully extract the Isofix
connectors (Q) (fig. 12).
Ensure that the indicators on the levers (R) are
red. If this is not the case, move the levers (R)
as shown in figure 13 until they switch to red.
Put the child seat on the seat of the vehicle.
Insert the connectors (Q) in the two protectors.
Push the child seat back to fasten the two Isofix
connectors to the attachment points in the car
(fig. 14). You will hear two distinct clicks.
Warning: ensure that the indicators on the levers
(R) are green. If they are not, the child seat is
not attached properly.
Repeat the attachment procedure.
Press the button (B) and move the child seat
towards the seat of the vehicle slightly (fig. 15).
Push the child seat back until it is resting against
the backrest of the vehicle’s seat.
Warning: check once more whether the child seat
is properly secured by trying to pull and move it.
Adjusting the support leg
Press the button (F) and adjust the length of the
leg (C) so that it touches the floor of the car (fig.
16).
Check that the leg is at the right length by
ensuring that the support foot (E) is touching the
floor of the car and the child seat is resting on
the seat of the vehicle.
Make sure that the indicator (D) is green.
Ensure that the leg is properly secured: it should
not be possible to adjust its length without
pressing the button (E).
Removing the child seat
Pull the lever (R) forward to release the Isofix
connectors. When the connectors are no longer
attached, the indicators on the levers (R) turn red.
Move the child seat away from the seat of the
vehicle.
It is recommended that you put the support leg
back in the shorter position by pressing the
button (F) and pushing the leg (C) up. Swing the
support leg under the child seat so that it takes
up as little space as possible.
Fitting the child seat with the safety belt
of the vehicle
If your vehicle does not have compatible Isofix
attachment points, it is possible to secure the
child seat with the vehicle’s safety belt, using
the support leg. See the paragraph “List of
compatible vehicles”.
How to fit the child seat in a vehicle
Warning: do not use a seat in the vehicle that
is only equipped with a lap belt to secure the
child seat.
Position the child seat on the seat of the vehicle
so that it is resting fully against the seat and
backrest (fig. 17).
Warning: the safety belt positioning points are
coloured in red. Do not thread the car safety belt
through positions other than those shown.
Completely recline the child seat so as to
facilitate the passage of the car safety belt.
Pass the waist strap of the vehicle’s safety belt
between the base (S) and the child seat (N) (fig.
18).
Fasten the vehicle’s safety belt (fig. 19).
Lower the tab of the safety belt lock (P) positioned
on the back of the shell; pass the chest strap of
the vehicle’s safety belt through the safety belt
lock (fig. 20).
Warning: tighten the vehicle’s safety belt well to
eliminate any play.
Warning: check that the vehicle’s safety belt is
not twisted at any point.
Adjusting the support leg
See the “Adjusting the support leg” paragraph in
the “Fitting the child seat with the safety belt of
the vehicle” section.
