Een Domain Name Server is een server op internet die URL’s (Universal Resource Locater) als “www.belkin.com” omzet in een IP-adres. De meeste providers
verlangen niet van u dat u deze informatie in de router invoert. U moet de optie “Automatic from ISP” (Automatisch van ISP)(1) selecteren als uw provider u
geen specifiek DNS-adres heeft gegeven. Als u een statisch IP gebruikt, moet u waarschijnlijk een specifiek DNS-adres en een secundair DNS-adres invullen
om ervoor te zorgen dat uw verbinding correct functioneert. Als u een dynamische verbinding of PPPoE gebruikt, hoeft u waarschijnlijk geen DNS-adres in te
vullen. Laat het vakje behorend bij “Automatic from ISP” (Automatisch van ISP) aangevinkt. Als u zelf de gegevens van het DNS-adres wilt invoeren, verwijdert
u het vinkje voor de optie "Automatic from ISP" (Automatisch van ISP) en voert u uw DNS-gegevens in de daarvoor bestemde ruimte in. Klik op “Apply
Changes” (Wijzigingen toepassen) (2) om de instellingen op te slaan.
