1.5 Aanwezigheid van brandblussers
Als er enige hete werkzaamheden op de koelapparatuur of enige
bijbehorende onderdelen moeten worden uitgevoerd, moet er
geschikte brandblusapparatuur binnen handbereik beschikbaar zijn.
Zorg voor een poeder- of CO2-brandblusser naast het vulgebied.
1.6 Geen ontstekingsbronnen
Niemand die werk uitvoert aan het koelsysteem dat betrekking heeft
tot het leidingsysteem dat ontvlambaar koelmiddel bevat of heeft
bevat mag ontstekingsbronnen gebruiken omdat hierdoor kans
op brand of explosie ontstaat. Alle mogelijke ontstekingsbronnen,
waaronder sigaretten roken, moeten op gepaste afstand van de
installatie-, reparatie-, verwijderings- en afvoerlocatie worden
gehouden op momenten dat ontvlambaar koelmiddel mogelijk kan
vrijkomen in de omgeving. De ruimte rondom de apparatuur moet
voorafgaand aan het uitvoeren van de werkzaamheden worden
geïnspecteerd om te verzekeren dat er zich geen brandgevaar of
risico op ontsteking voordoet. Er moeten borden met “Niet roken”
worden weergegeven.
1.7 Geventileerd gebied
Zorg ervoor dat de ruimte open is of dat deze voldoende is geventileerd
voordat u inbreekt in het systeem of enige hete werkzaamheden
uitvoert. Er moet een bepaalde mate van ventilatie in stand blijven,
tijdens de periode dat de werkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd.
De ventilatie moet enige vrijkomend koelmiddel op veilige wijze
verspreiden en het bij voorkeur extern in de atmosfeer uitstoten.
