4. To adjust the pattern volume, press VOLUME
and adjust using + or –. (You can hear your
drum playing better by turning down the
pattern volume.)
5. Press TEMPO and the current tempo will be
displayed. Press + or – to adjust.
DRUM OFF
1. Press DRUM OFF to mute/unmute the drum
track from the pattern play.
VOICE
You can change the sound (voice) of each pad, and
save your settings as a new user kit.
1. Press VOICE and the current voice number will
be displayed.
2. Press the pad button of the drum or cymbal
you want to change.
3. Press + or – to choose from 123 di erent
sounds. Press the pad to listen. Note that the
Hi-Hat has four options.
4. If required, press VOLUME and adjust the voice
volume using + or –.
5. When you like the way the pads sound,
savethis as a new user kit. Press SAVE/REC and
press + or – to choose from 11 to 15.
6. Press SAVE/REC again to save the new userkit.
CLICK
1. Press CLICK to start the metronome and display
the current signature.
2. Press + or – to change the signature.
3. Press TEMPO to display the current tempo.
4. Press + or – to adjust the tempo.
5. Press CLICK again to stop the metronome.
Recording
1. Press-and-hold SAVE/REC to enter
recordingmode.
2. If desired, press + or – to select a kit.
3. Press START/STOP and recording will begin in a
few seconds.
4. Play the drum kit, and your playing will be
recorded as pattern 41.
5. Press START/STOP again to stop therecording.
Playback
6. While Pattern 41 is displayed, press START/
STOP to play the recording.
7. To play your recording later, press PAT and
press + or – to select pattern number 41.

PLAYING
Play the kit and adjust the volume in your headphones
or external sound system to a safe listening level.
Each drum head or cymbal can give di erent sounds
depending on where it is hit:
KIT
1. Press KIT and the current kit number will
bedisplayed.
2. Press + or – to select from 10 preset kits, or 5
user kits 11 to 15. Play each kit to hear how
itsounds.
3. If required, press VOLUME and adjust the kit
volume using + or –.
4. To save this as a new kit, press SAVE/REC and
press + or – to choose from 11 to 15.
5. Press SAVE/REC again to save the new userkit.
PATTERN
There are 40 di erent patterns available for practice.
Pattern 41 is reserved for recording your own playing
while in recoding mode.
1. Press START/STOP to start the pattern.
2. Press PAT to display the current patternnumber.
3. Press + or – to select a pattern.

1. Assemble the drum kit as shown in the
assembly instructions, and tighten
allconnections.
2. Connect the cables to the drum pads,
cymbals and foot pedals, as shown in the
hook-up diagram.
3. Connect headphones or make connections to
any external sound equipment such as an
external ampli er, or active speaker. Seethe
hook-up diagram for some ideas.
4. Connect the power supply adapter to the local
mains supply. This universal adapter can accept
mains voltages from 100 VAC to 240 VAC.
Connect the DC output to the drummodule.
5. Do not turn on the drum module until all
connections have been made.
6. Turn down the VOLUME control on the drum
module, and turn on the POWERswitch.
7. If you are using external sound equipment,
turnit on after the drum module. At the end of
the session, turn any external sound equipment
o rst.
