If you prepare coffee in the thermos jug, pro-

ceed as follows:

Prepare the coffee machine for brewing1.

ATTENTION

Although the hotplate function is ►

switched off, the base of the thermos jug

is kept warm during the brewing process.

Therefore, put the thermos jug onto a heat-

ceed as follows:

onto a heat-resistant surface.



To remove the lid, proceed as follows:

To pour coffee, proceed as follows:

Press and hold down the release lever in1.

NOTE

► We recommend preheating the

thermos jug with hot water before use.



 When the appliance is in operation, the

filter compartment must be closed and the

thermos or glass jug must be standing prop-

erly with the lid under the filter compartment.

The lid pushes the drip-stop (8) upwards and

the coffee can flow from the filter into the jug.

 The drip-stop prevents water from leak-

ing out of the filter when the thermos or glass

jug is removed from the appliance. During the

brewing process however, the thermos or

glass jug should not be removed from the

appliance for more than 30 seconds, other-

wise the filter will fill up and the coffee will

overflow.



powder to assure optimum flavour.

 Experiment with the amount of coffee

powder until you find the flavour you prefer.

 Try various different levels of grinding

fineness for the coffee powder. The grinding

fineness for the coffee powder influences the

aroma of the coffee.

 Clean and descale the appliance at regu-

lar intervals. A dirty and/or scaled appliance

impairs the aroma.


