Coffee machine

General instructions

To measure the desired quantity of wa- ■

ter, there are cup marks on the water

tank (16).

Always use fresh, cold, non-carbonat- ■

ed mineral water or tap water. Never

put other foodstuffs into the water

tank (16).

Observe the lling level indicator (16) ■

on the water tank. Do not overll!

Thanks to the permanent lter (24), l- ■

ter paper is us not necessary. Remove

and clean the permanent lter after

each use. Paper lters size 4 ca be

used instead of permanent lters.

The lter insert (23) can be removed ■

for easier handling. When you reinsert

the lter holder, make sure that it is

properly tted: the differently sized

noses in the lter holder must t into

the recesses of the lter compart-

ment (22) (see image C2).

If possible, use freshly ground coffee ■

powder to assure optimum avour.

Make sure that the thermos jug (19) is ■

in the middle under the lter compart-

ment (22).

Clean and descale the coffee ma- ■

chine regularly as described in the

section Cleaning and maintenance

(page 30). A dirty and/or scaled coffee

machine impairs the aroma.

Functionality of the thermos jug

Opening the thermos jug (19):

Turn the lid (20) anti-clockwise until it 

can be lifted off (see image C1).

Closing the thermos jug (19):

Lay the lid (20) onto the thermos 

jug (19) and subsequently turn it

clockwise until it stops.

Automatic drip-stop function

When the appliance is in operation, ■

the thermos jug (19) must be under the

lter compartment (22). The lid (20)

of the thermos jug pushes the drip

stop (21) upwards and the coffee can

ow from the lter the lid and into the

thermos jug.

The drip-stop prevents water from ■

leaking out of the lter when the ther-

mos jug (19) is removed from the

coffee machine. During the brewing

process, the thermos jug (19) should

not be removed from the appliance for

more than a few seconds, otherwise

the lter will overow.

Brewing coffee

Open the lid (17) of the water con- 

tainer (16).

Only ll the amount of water required 

for the desired number of cups.

Close the lid (17) of the water con- 

tainer (16).

Swivel out the lter compartment (22). 

Fill the permanent lter (24) with the 

desired amount of coffee powder.

Recommendation: 4-6 g per 150 ml.
