1. Place the device in a suitable location, following the safety notices and the notices provided
at the beginning of this chapter.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
Handling and Operation
PLEASE NOTE!
• Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water to make
coffee!
• Do not overfi
ll the permanent fi lter and / or the coffee bean compartment.
Setting the Time
As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display lighting turns on and the
time display 0:00 fl ashes. The clock has a 12-hour time format (AM / PM). The symbols AM and
PM indicate whether it is morning or afternoon.
1. Press the ZEIT (time) button (18). The hour indicator starts to fl ash.
2. Set the hours by repeatedly pressing the ZEIT (time) button.
3. Wait for approx. 3 seconds until the minutes fl ash.
4. Set the minutes by repeatedly pressing the ZEIT (time) button. The time display stops
fl ashing after around 3 seconds and remains lit.
The time has now been set.
The time is saved until a new time is set or the device has been disconnected from the
power supply.
Filling the Water Tank
1. Open the water tank lid (2).
2. Pour the quantity of water required for the number of cups you want (maximum 10 cups)
into the water tank (3).
3. Close the water tank lid. You must hear and feel it engage.
All the water in the water tank is always used.
