Most modern electronic devices have RF (radio frequency) shielding.
However, certain electronic devices may not be protected from the RF
signals from your mobile phone.
Pacemakers:
Pacemaker manufacturers recommend that a minimum distance of 20
cm between a mobile phone and a pacemaker be maintained in order
to avoid potential interferences with the pacemaker. These
recommendations are consistent with the independent research and
recommendations of Wireless Technology Research. For people with a
pacemaker:
• You should always keep a minimum distance of 20 cm between the
mobile phone and the pacemaker when the phone is turned on.
• You should not keep the phone in the breast pocket.
• When using a mobile phone, you should hold it to the ear that is
farthest away from your pacemaker to reduce the risk of possible
interferences.
• If you have a reason to suspect that an interference has occurred,
turn off your phone immediately.
