FIRE PIT CONFIGURATION

Operating your barbecue
1. Decide at what height you want to use the
4GRILL
a. Low:
b. Medium:
c. High:
2. Remove the lid, cooking grid & cross bar
before building the re.
3. Use the special re pit insert (Part R)
inside the charcoal pan.
ATTENTION: When the 4GRILL is used as a
re pit you have to place the special re pit
insert (Part R) in the charcoal pan (Part O).
This insert has the function to limit the
temperature radiation to the outer barrel
segments of the 4GRILL and protecting the
4GRILL segment surface from getting per-
manently damaged!
Do not overll the insert, causing a too big
re. The heat radiation can become too
high causing the heat-resistant labels to
deform and decolorize as well as to perma-
nently damage the coated barrel segments.
4. At no times place the lid on the re pit
insert or on any of the 4GRILL seg-
ments in this consideration, as this will
damage the lid surface nish
permanently.
EXTINGUISHING OF FIRE
a. SLOW COOKING and SMOKING
CONFIGURATION
When the preparation of the food has been
nished successfully the lid can be placed
back on top of the 4GRILL, with the air vent
closed.
This procedure is only allowed in the Slow
Cooking and/or Smoking Conguration, where
the Charcoal pan is positioned in the bottom
barrel segment (means in lowest possible
position).
The charcoal or briquettes will extinguish by
itself.
b. GRILLING and FIRE PIT
CONFIGURATION
In the BBQ Conguration and/or Fire Pit Con-
guration it is at no times allowed to place the
lid on top of the 4GRILL as this will damage the
lid surface nish permanently.
The charcoal or briquettes will extinguish by
itself.
c. GENERAL
If the re needs to be shut down in a hurry, the
best way is to cover the charcoal with sand.
Do not use water!
