TIPS ON USING YOUR BARBECUE
To prevent the appliance from going
into standby mode because of over-
heating, we recommend that you
set the temperature to 180°C using
the “TEMP” function.
You can use pots and pans with a
flat base and a diameter between
16 and 26 cm. The material of the
pot or pan must be steel, enamelled
cast iron or magnetic stainless
steel. If your cookware is alu-
minium, copper, glass, ceramic or
non-magnetic stainless steel, it will
not heat up.
You can easily check this by investigat-
ing whether a magnet will adhere to
your cookware. If it does, you can go
ahead.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, remove the plug from
the socket and wait until the appliance
has cooled down:
Use a non-abrasive, non-caustic
cleaning agent and a damp cloth.
Ensure that no water can get into
the appliance.
Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids.
Do not use any cleaning products
containing benzene, which can
damage the plastic parts of the
housing.
Do not use inflammable or alkaline
materials near the appliance. This
can reduce the lifetime of the appli-
ance.
Avoid using a pan with a base
which could scratch the cooking
surface. Although this will not affect
the operation of your appliance, it
will damage its finish.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove
dirt from the fan openings.
To clean the stainless steel surface,
use Barbecook® All Cleaner.
Ensure that the appliance has been
properly cleaned before storing it in
a dry place.
Clean the induction hotplate to pre-
vent colour fading or scorch marks.
AFTER USE

off the appliance As soon as you
remove the pan, the appliance goes
into standby mode. After a minute, it
switches itself off.
STORAGE
To get many years of service out
of your barbecue: Always store the
electrical appliance indoors when not
in use. Cover the barbecue with the
barbecook® cover if it is to be stored
outdoors.
Special precautionary measures for the
stainless steel parts
(failing to follow these instructions will
invalidate the warranty)
When cleaning stainless steel or
chromed parts, it is best to avoid ag-
gressive, abrasive or metal cleaners.
Use non-aggressive cleaners and give
them time to act. Always use always a
soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly
and dry well before you store the appli-
ance.
To prevent the formation of rust on
stainless steel components, avoid any
contact with chlorine, salt or iron. The
environment in which your appliance is
used can adversely affect its lifetime.
Less suitable locations include the
coast, near railway lines and the vicinity
of a swimming pool.
