2. Hang the inner tube (E) in the outer tube (C) by letting the collar of the
inner tube rest on the bowl (B).
3. Twist 2 double sheets of broadsheet newspaper and insert separately
into the upper tube (edge downwards), ensuring free circulation of air.
Avoid 'stuffing' newspaper into the tube as this could block the draught
and the charcoal will not light. For briquettes add an extra double sheet
of newspaper.
4. Place the bottom grid (F) into the centre of the fireplace and fill it with
a thin layer of dry 'purified' charcoal (do not use too much charcoal
while lighting).
5. Light the paper through one of the ventilation holes (preferably with a
long match); these should be left fully open until cooking starts, and
then closed completely to avoid burning the charcoal too quickly. When
more charcoal is needed, open again fully to accelerate burning, then
close as required.
For the first 2 to 3 minutes there will be some smoke from the newspaper
and the humidity of the charcoal. It will then fade rapidly, the charcoal will
be well alight in 15 minutes. You can then start cooking when you have
perfect charcoal embers.

It is very important to follow these safety instructions:
• Always put the barbecue on a very stable surface and never close to
combustible or flammable objects.
• For outdoor use only.
• Fill the bottom grid with charcoal. Do not overload with charcoal: make
sure the charcoal doesn’t exceed the bottom grid.

• Hold barn og husdyr på trygg avstand fra barbecuen.
• Ha helst på vernehansker når du arbeider med barbecuen.

Etter bruk, når asken er avkjølt, tar du ut bunnristen og lar asken falle ned i
vannbeholderen. Vannbeholderen fungerer som askeskuffe. Asken kan lett
helles ut sammen med vannet. Restene er ikke farlige for planter.
VVEEDDLLIIKKEEHHOOLLDD
Karet skal gjøres rent regelmessig med vann og såpe eller med et passende
barbecue-rensemiddel.
Følgende deler er laget av rustfritt stål: foten, røret, vannbeholderen,
innerrøret, karet, lokket, bunnristen, hjulsystemet, boltene og mutrene.
Stekeristen er laget av kromert stål.
Delene av rustfritt stål svarer til AISI-kravene for rustfritt stål. Disse
kravene er kjent internasjonalt, og det er verdt å vite at materialet kan få en
litt annen farge ved høye temperaturer, og at oksidasjon kan forekomme ved
overflaten når materialet utsettes for fukt eller ild i lengre tid. Disse to
fenomenene er helt normale. Barbecuen kommer i alle fall ikke til å
korrodere når du sørger for regelmessig vedlikehold med et pussemiddel for
rustfritt stål, sølv eller kobber.
