Een GFCI is een belangrijk veiligheidsapparaat en verplicht voor elke hot tub installatie.
Uw spa kan uitgerust zijn met een GFCI Beschermingsfunctie. (Alleen UL-geclassificeerde systemen.) Als de fabrikant deze functie heeft
ingeschakeld op uw spa, moet de GFCI Trip Test weergegeven worden om de juiste spa-functie mogelijk te maken. Binnen 1 tot 7 dagen
na het opstarten zal de spa de GFCI uitsturen om het te testen. (Het aantal dagen is in de fabriek geprogrammeerd.) De GFCI moet
opnieuw worden ingesteld als deze is uitgeschakeld. Na het doorlopen van de GFCI Trip Test, zullen alle volgende GFCI-trips een
grondfout of een andere onveilige conditie aangeven en moet de stroom naar de spa worden uitgeschakeld totdat een servicemonteur
het probleem kan oplossen.
De GFCI Trip Test forceren
De installateur kan ervoor zorgen dat de GFCI Trip Test eerder plaatsvindt doordeze te starten met het bovenstaande menu. De GFCI
zou binnen enkele seconden moeten trippen en de spa moet dan uitgezet worden. Als dat niet het geval is, sluit u de stroom af en
controleert u handmatig of er een GFCI-breker is geïnstalleerd en of het circuit en despa correct zijn aangesloten. Controleer de werking
van de GFCI met de eigen testknop.
Schakel de stroom naar de spa opnieuw aan en herhaal de GFCI Trip Test. Zodra de GFCI de test heeft afgerond, reset u de GFCI en zal de
spa vanaf dat moment weer normaal werken. U kunt een succesvolle test verifiëren door naar het bovenstaande menu te navigeren. Na
het indrukken van de temp knop van het GFCI scherm, dient PASS te verschijnen. De eindgebruiker moet oefenen en erop rekenen dat
deze eenmalige test plaatsvindt en hoe de GFCI correct ingesteld kan worden.
Waarschuwing:
Als het vriest, moet een GFCI onmiddellijk worden gereset, anders kan er schade aan de spa
ontstaan. De eindgebruiker dient geoefend genoeg te zijn om regelmatig de GFCI te kunnen
testen en herstellen.
