Cycling
Cycling on a two-wheel cargo bike is much like cycling on an ordinary bike. The steering is
pretty much the same except your front wheel is located farther away from you compared
to a normal bike. While cycling look in front of you, don’t look at the front wheel.
Bike stand
To put the Babboe Mini/ City Mountain on the stand, go to the left of the steering wheel
next to the bike. Turn the steering wheel away from you to create space for your body and
make sure you are standing close to the steering wheel/the stand. Put your foot on the part
of the stand that sticks out and pull the cargo bike towards you while holding the steering
wheel with both hands. The Babboe cargo bike is now firmly on the stand so that kids can
get in and out. To take the Babboe Mini/ City Mountain off the stand, hold the steering
wheel with both hands and push your Babboe cargo bike forward so that the stand folds
up. The stands then stays in this position while cycling.
Adjustable handlebar
It is possible to adjust the height and the angle of the handlebar. Loosen the handlebar
stem and place the handlebar in the desired position. Be careful not to pull the handlebar
out too far. Pay attention to the marked indent on the handlebar stem that determines the
maximum allowable position. When the handlebar is in the correct position, tighten the
handlebar stem.
Braking
The left brake operates the front wheel and the right brake operates the rear wheel.
Tire and spoke tension
In order to continue cycling in a light and comfortable way, the tire pressure should remain
the same. This means a pressure of 3.5-4 bar. The harder the tires, the more comfortable
and lighter it is to cycle. Check the tension of the spokes regularly. When they are ‘loose’,
get them tightened at an approved bicycle shop or at your Babboe dealer.
Lighting
The electric Babboe City/ Mini has both front and rear lighting. The rear light runs on
batteries and can be controlled via the display indicator. The front is equipped with battery
lighting, which is operated on the light itself (and not via the display).
Accessories
There are several fun and functional accessories available for the electric Babboe City/
Mini. For example, to keep your children safe we have the Maxi-Cosi carrier, baby seat,
toddler chair and various cushion sets. For convenience we have several cargo bike covers.
