8. Network Setup
We recommend using your own ADSL or cable internet service for easy network configuration. The setup
method below describes how:
to prepare the network configuration
to set up with EaZy Networking
to set up the network manually
8.1 Preparing the Network Configuration
Make sure your network contains the following elements:
1.
your CAMIP23 camera
2.
a mobile device (iPhone
®
, iPad
®
, Android
®
phone…)
3.
a wireless router
4.
a WAN port
5.
a modem
Note that the CAMIP23 package does not include the mobile device, wireless router or modem.
If you have not done so already, install the EagleEyes-Lite(+) or EagleEyes-Plus app on your mobile
device. You can download the app from your device’s app store.
Optional: If your wireless router supports UPnP, make sure the function is enabled.
8.2 Setup with EaZy Networking
About EaZy Networking
About EaZy Networking is a plug-and-play service that allows automatic connection of your IP camera to
the internet. The service is not free.
To use this service, you need to create an account for the cloud service from EagleEyes.
Initially, EagleEyes will provide 500 MB data allowance (approx. 260 minutes) per EaZy Networking
camera for free, which will be expired 6 months after your camera was added to the cloud server. The
camera connection is down if you reach 500 MB of data transfer or after six months.
To restore the service, you need to subscribe a data plan from EagleEyes, or configure the network
settings manually (see below).
This service requires:
The network environment where a router or wireless router is used with the DHCP function enabled
and you know where it is.
An iPhone
®
, iPad
®
, Android
®
phone.
To be able to use EaZy Networking, you need to create an account.
Start EagleEyes on your device.
Tap "+" and then "EaZy".
On first use, you may be prompted to install VLC player, Software or H264 Streaming Viewer. It is
recommended to install the software. Otherwise, you might not be able to see the live view properly.
