 Close the battery compartment (38).

 Open the battery compartment of the device (22).

 Insert two 1.5 V AAA R03/LR03 (UM-4) batteries, ensuring

the correct polarity.

The display will light up for 5 seconds, a beep will sound,

and the device will check the indoor temperature and

humidity.

 Close the battery compartment (22).

The device then receives the temperature and humidity from

the wireless outdoor sensor, and the radio waves of the

wireless outdoor sensor channel (9) will flash in the display.

This process takes up to 3 minutes. If reception of the radio

signal from the wireless outdoor sensor is unsuccessful, the

device will abort the process.

The device will then start receiving the DCF77 radio signal,

and the radio symbol (10) will flash in the display. This

process can take 3-10 minutes. During reception of the

DCF77 radio signal, all buttons except the

SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) will not function. If, after 10
