Radio signal reception

Interference with reception

The DCF77 radio signal is sent from near Frankfurt am Main. It can be received within a

radius of up to approx. 2000 km from Frankfurt am Main. However, there are some

sources of interference that can significantly hinder reception. If your device does not

receive the DCF77 radio signal as it should, hang or place the device in a different

location. Note that there may be electromagnetic radiation in the vicinity of computers,

telephones, radios and TVs, which can interfere with the reception of the DCF77 radio

signal. Problems with radio signal reception can also be caused by strong building

insulation (metal components), high mountains or atmospheric interference. Replace the

batteries, if necessary.

Switch radio reception off, on and restart

 You can switch off the radio reception manually by pressing the +/12- /24 button

(28) and -/RC button (30) together for three seconds. The radio tower from the

radio symbol (6) goes out and only the radio waves are displayed. The device is

now no longer receiving a radio signal.

 You can restart the radio reception manually by pressing the +/12- /24 button (28)

and -/RC button (30) together for three seconds.

If the reception is successful, the radio symbol (6) appears permanently.

Quick settings

When setting numerical values, you can use quick setting by pressing and holding the

+/12/24 button (28) and -/RC button (30).

Default settings

You can make the following settings:

Temperature unit, air pressure unit, time zone, position day / month, hours, minutes, year,

month, day, language of the weekdays, country, city and back to normal time display.

 Press and hold the MODE button (26) in the normal time display for three seconds.

The temperature unit °C or °F flashes and can be set with the +/12-/24 button (28)

or -/RC button (30).

 Press the MODE button briefly (26) to confirm the setting.

 In the same way, set the air pressure unit hPa / inHg, time zone 00 -

(+/-) 12, position D (day) <> M (month), hours, minutes, year, month, day, the
