Setup
Remove the protective film from the display of the alarm clock. Open the battery
compartment on the backside of the device and insert three 1.5V AAA R03/LR03
batteries in the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
Radio time signal reception starts automatically after inserting the batteries
and the alarm clock will beep once. The radio tower indicator 4 will blink on the
display. This process can take 3-10 minutes.
Note: Please do not move the alarm clock during the reception process.
The alarm clock synchronizes the internal clock every day from 02:15 to 03:15 on
each full hour. If reception is unsuccessful, the clock will reattempt reception at
04:15 and 05:15. If the reception of the time signal fails, the radio control
tower 4 will disappear from the display. Please set the time manually (see "Basic
settings").
If reception is successful, the radio tower indicator 4 appears permanently on the
display and the time, date and day of the week are set automatically. During
daylight saving time, DST appears on the display next to the radio tower
indicator 4.
Please set the time manually, if reception fails (see "Basic settings").
Time zone adjustment
If you are in a country in which the current time is incorrect even though the DCF77
signal was received, please use the time zone adjustment to adjust the time zone to
a different setting than the standard setting (UTC+1 = Central European Time). Set
the difference in hours (for example -01) to the required time zone.
Press and hold MODE 9 for 3 seconds in normal time display mode. The language
of the day of the week will blink. Press MODE 9 7x. Now the time zone will blink
(00) and can be set by pressing + 10 or -/RCC OFF 11.
Confirm your setting by pressing MODE 9. The radio tower indicator 4 will
disappear.
Press MODE 9 to select the day of the week, the zone or the seconds. The clock will
continue to receive the DCF77 radio control signal but will show the changed time in
ZONE mode (for example, 1 hour less).
Activating/ deactivating radio signal reception
Radio signal reception can be deactivated manually by pressing -/RCC OFF 11on
the backside of the clock for 4 seconds. The radio tower 4 will
disappear from the display. The radio waves are shown on the
display
.
