INTRODUCTION
Usage and Functionality
The COMfortel DECT 650C is designed with advanced features. Similarly to GSM, this technology
allows you to get the benefits of the digital wireless communication systems, which are better pro-
tected against interferences, tapping and intrusions. Moreover, there are a lot of features you will
enjoy, the most important ones are:
ț Ease of use - the large LCD display and the "cellular feeling" software commands make the
equipment user friendly, even by non expert people.
ț Color LCD display - customizable with wallpapers and backgrounds.
ț Alphanumeric phonebook - allows you to call your frequently used numbers (up to 200). It saves
your time and money, because you can quickly call them and reduce the risk of wrong dialing.
ț SIM card reading - you can copy the phonebook from your mobile phone into the phonebook of
your cordless phone. This let you save time and reduce dialing mistakes by using the same
phonebook of your mobile phone.
ț Handsfree operation - the speakerphone of your handset allows you to enjoy the handsfree
conversations. Just put the handset on your desk and talk in total freedom. Moreover, for oper-
ation in very noisy environments, you can also use the external earphone/microphone.
ț 10 polyphonic rings tones with sleep mode - the ring volume automatically switches to the min-
imum volume in order not to disturb you in night time. Very convenient if your phone is located
near a bedroom.
ț Caller Display - to see who is calling and keep track of unanswered calls
ț SMS capability - you can send and receive SMS messages just as a GSM phone.
ț "Organizer" functions - your phone reminds you the most important schedules (up to 10), ringing
at a specific time and showing you memo alphanumeric messages. Moreover it can be used as
a convenient daily/monthly/yearly alarm, as a calculator and world clock.
ț Personal cordless network - if you have more than one COMfortel DECT 650C you can create
your personal cordless phone network by connecting up to 4 handsets to one base. Moreover,
every handset can access up to 4 base units in order to extend the total wireless coverage.
