PoE
PoE (Power over Ethernet) ist ein Verfahren, bei dem kleinere Geräte im Netzwerk, wie
beispielsweise VoIP-Telefone, über ein sogenanntes Ethernet-Kabel zusätzlich zum Datenfluss
mit Strom versorgt werden. Das hat den Vorteil, dass störende Stromversorgungskabel einge-
spart werden können.
PoE wird im IEEE 802.3af Standard beschrieben.
Port
Ein einziger PC kann gleichzeitig mehrere Verbindungen aufbauen und mehrere Dienste für
andere PCs zur Verfügung stellen. Zur Unterscheidung dieser parallel laufenden Verbindungen
werden die sogenannten Ports verwendet. Aufgrund einer allgemeinen Vereinbarung bieten
PCs ihre Dienste üblicherweise auf den Ports 1-1023 an. Abgehende Verbindungen werden
normalerweise von Ports ab 1024 aufgebaut. Die meisten Dienste verwenden Standard-
Portnummern (z. B. verwenden Webbrowser Port 80).
Power Dialling
Wenn das angerufene Telefon besetzt, ein automatischer Rückruf bei besetzt aber nicht
möglich ist, kann stattdessen die Funktion Power Dialling aktiviert werden. Dabei versucht das
Systemtelefon in kurzen Zeitabständen, den angerufenen Teilnehmer zu erreichen.
Projektzuordnung
Der Amtzugang mit Projektzuordnung ermöglicht die Zuordnung eines externen Gespräches
zu einem bestimmten Projekt/Kunden/Mandanten (z. B. innerhalb eines Anwaltsbüros).
Anhand der Gesprächsdatenauswertung können dann sowohl die Gebühren als auch der
Zeitaufwand einem bestimmten Projekt zugeordnet werden.
Proxy
Der Proxy ist eine Instanz im Netzwerk, an die bestimmte Anfragen gerichtet werden, statt sie
direkt an das Ziel zu senden. Der Proxy leitet dann entweder die Anfrage an das Ziel weiter,
weist sie ab oder antwortet selbst, wenn er die Daten bereits im Cache hat.
